Abstract

[English Abstract]

The role of school libraries is very important in increasing the quality of education where it should prepares students to be life-long learners.Therefore, school library condition that is not support to the direction of improving the quality of education should be improved by searching of some breakthroughs to fund the school libraries. In this paper is discussed the condition of school libraries in the country and some factors that cause of its backwardness. In order to reform such condition, a strengthening program should be design and implemented gradually. General guidelines
to be covered in the program are also discussed.

Artikel ini membahas tentang pentingnya perpustakaan sekolah
dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan juga mempersiapkan murid untuk pembelajaran seumur hidup.
