Abstract

This article presents an interesting case study in the development and growth of a Filipiniana Collection in one of the country’'s leading academic institutions. The state of
the art of De La Salle University Library’s collection of Filipiniana, from its early beginnings in 1970 until school year 2000, speaks loudly of the commitment of this
institution to contribute to the organization, preservation and use of our cultural heritage as embodied in this unique body of literature.
